About Course

Take to the skies with our STEM-specific educational drones! Campers will master the physics principles which make drone flight possible, and will also gain coding skills as they program their drone’s flight paths to complete a series of challenges. Using a safety-first approach, students will learn how to pilot their drones responsibly, and will collaborate with members of their flight team to complete each mission using a mixture of critical thinking and creativity.

  • It requires practice to be an expert drone pilot.

MONDAY – GETTING STARTED
In this section, students will be introduced to the Air:bit drone, and will learn just enough to get their drone airborne.

TUESDAY – PRINCIPLES OF FLIGHT
In this section, more flight principles are presented using the PARTY acrostic.

WEDNESDAY – DRONE PRACTICE
In this section, students will use targets and landing pads as they practice their drone-flying skills.

THURSDAY – DRONE OBSTACLE COURSE CHALLENGE
In this section, students will work together to build a drone obstacle course.

FRIDAY – WRAP UP
In this section, students will continue the obstacle course challenge if more time is needed. They will also be given more flying time on this final day of camp.
