About Course

The Root Robot can be programmed to move, light up, play sound, and even draw various geometric shapes. It’s the perfect tool to give younger campers an introduction to robotics programming. In a series of challenges, teams will work together, coding their robots to draw patterns, play games, move and lift materials, play music, and more. Campers of all ages will enjoy seeing their Root Robots come to life. The simple block-coding interface requires no reading and is suitable even for young Junior campers.

What Will You Learn?

  • Learn how to write instructions, or code, to tell a robot what to do.
  • Learn about basic code commands - like loops - which can allow your robot to repeat a command over and over.
  • Learn problem solving and teamwork as your robotics group works together to solve a series of fun challenges.
