About Course

Prepare for liftoff! Using the popular Kerbal Space Program strategy-simulator, campers will assemble fully-functional spacecraft which fly based on realistic aerodynamic and orbital physics principles. Students are tasked with building and launching vessels, performing scientific experiments, exploring the solar system, all while keeping the Kerbal space program within budget. With a nearly limitless number of rockets, spaceships and vehicles to build and pilot, Aerospace engineering has never been more fun!

What Will You Learn?

  • Learn how to build functional rockets and space vessels in Kerbal Space Program
  • Launch and navigate the vessels you build.
  • Achieve basic, suborbital, and orbital flights with the vessels you build.
  • Stage your vessels, and recover them safely from your space flights.

MONDAY – TRAINING – GETTING STARTED AND BASIC CONSTRUCTION AND BASIC FLIGHT
In today's lessons, campers will build their first ship in Kerbal Space Program. They will launch it, and return it to planet Kerbal safely.

TUESDAY – TRAINING – INTERMEDIATE CONSTRUCTION AND SUBORBITAL FLIGHT
In today's lessons, campers will build a more advanced spacecraft and launch it higher and further than before.

WEDNESDAY – TRAINING – ADVANCED CONSTRUCTION AND GO FOR ORBIT
In today's lessons, campers will build a more advanced multi-stage craft and will launch it into orbit around planet Kerbal.

THURSDAY – TRAINING – ORBITING 101 AND SCIENCE BASICS
In today's lessons, students will learn more about orbital mechanics and will learn about conducting science and unlocking technology from the Kerbal Space Program science tree.

FRIDAY – KERBAL NEXT STEPS
In today's lesson, campers will learn how to conduct science and will try their hands at Kerbal's Career Mode and/or Sandbox Mode.
